Houston Rockets Ime Udoka Makes Huge Announcement

Ime Udoka Stands by Rockets’ Tough Playstyle

The Houston Rockets, under head coach Ime Udoka, are proving to be a physical team, especially in their intense series against the Golden State Warriors.

Udoka discussed the team’s tough mentality, explaining that it’s a key factor in their success.

“It always seems to come out,” Udoka said, as reported by ESPN’s Michael C. Wright. “That’s who we are. It’s our identity. Like I mentioned at the start of the playoffs, we don’t need to switch gears to get tougher or more aggressive. That mentality naturally carries over into the playoffs. I don’t mind it. It’s good for us. It’s what we’ve built ourselves on, minus the towel throw. I told Tari [Eason] that—he wasn’t even in the game, so he shouldn’t be over there. But overall, it’s who we are, and everyone’s bought into it. It makes us who we are, and our guys thrive in that environment. We just need to stay composed, especially when we have the lead.”

As the series shifts to Golden State for Games 3 and 4, the Rockets will aim to maintain their composure while competing on the Warriors’ home court.

Houston will play Golden State tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. CT in Game 3 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, with the game broadcasted on ABC.
