Texas Tech to host 1,000-yard wide receiver transfer portal prospect

Texas Tech is set to host a highly productive wide receiver from the transfer portal. Roy Alexander, an elite pass catcher, is visiting Lubbock as the Red Raiders continue their push to build the top transfer portal class in the country.

Alexander had an outstanding senior season at UIW, recording 1,108 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns on 100 receptions. He also contributed 62 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 carries, showcasing his versatility.

Before his time at UIW, Alexander played three seasons at Albany, where he amassed 1,299 yards and 7 touchdowns on 100 catches.

  • 47 receptions, 610 yards, 2 touchdowns

  • Season-high 127 yards on 6 catches against Fordham; also had 109 yards on kick returns

  • Caught 4 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown against Monmouth

  • Had 4 catches for 78 yards and a TD against Hampton

  • Caught 11 passes for 90 yards against Villanova, adding 90 yards on kick returns
