Former Titans WR Joins Steelers
A former Tennessee Titans player is moving to a new team in the NFL, as Robert Woods signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“Source: The #Steelers are signing veteran WR Robert Woods to a 1-year, $2M deal. A new target and a strong locker room presence for whoever their QB ends up being,” Rapoport tweeted.
Woods, 33, played just one season with the Titans in 2022, recording 53 receptions for 527 yards and two touchdowns. Before his time in Tennessee, he spent his first four NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills, who drafted him in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
After his stint in Buffalo, Woods played five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, including their Super Bowl-winning 2021 season, though he was sidelined due to injury during the championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Most recently, Woods played for the Houston Texans over the last two seasons. Now, he heads to Pittsburgh, where he will fill the role vacated by new Titans receiver Van Jefferson in the Steelers’ offense.
