Disappointment Hits Michigan Wolverine out of NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan transfer EDGE Kechaun Bennett commits to rival Big Ten school

EDGE rusher Kechaun Bennett, a transfer from Michigan, has chosen his next football destination. The 6-foot-4, 257-pound player was a four-time letter winner during his time with the Wolverines, though he saw limited action on the field in Ann Arbor.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Bennett will be heading to the West Coast to join the UCLA Bruins. UCLA, which became part of the Big Ten conference last year, will offer Bennett a familiar environment with in-conference rivals. The California-bound athlete still has a full year of eligibility left, and while his playing time at Michigan was minimal, he brings valuable experience and a seasoned mindset to the Bruins’ program.
