As the 2025-26 season approaches, the Auburn basketball roster will look vastly different from the previous year. After a historic season that led the Tigers to their second Final Four in six years, the team faces significant changes due to most players either exhausting their eligibility or transferring. The lone player potentially returning is freshman Tahaad Pettiford, who has declared for the NBA draft while maintaining his college eligibility.
Head coach Bruce Pearl and his team anticipated these changes and diligently recruited even during their championship run. Just before the Tigers’ game against Florida in San Antonio, they received encouraging news with a new commitment.
Keyshawn Hall, a former UCF Knight, became the first player to transfer to Auburn from the portal, and according to Pearl, he is expected to make a significant impact on the team this year.
“Keyshawn was one of the most impactful players in the transfer portal,” Pearl stated, as reported by Auburn Live. “He was the leading scorer in the Big 12 and a prolific scorer. Hall is extremely challenging to defend one-on-one and has the versatility to play multiple positions on both ends. He creates matchup problems for opponents. I believe his main motivation for transferring was his desire to end his college career on a high note and win a championship.”
Last season, Hall led the Big 12 with an average of 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field. He made 35.4 percent of his three-point attempts and converted 84.4 percent of his free throws. Hall started all 33 games at UCF last season and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors for his performance.
