Islanders enter Draft Lottery with a 3.5% chance of winning
The New York Islanders have a 3.5% chance of winning the NHL Draft Lottery on Monday, which will be aired live on ESPN at 7 p.m.
For more information on the rules, you can refer here. According to Tankathon, the Islanders have a 3.5% chance of securing the first pick (ranking 10th in odds), a 3.7% chance for the second pick, a 73.3% chance of landing 10th, an 18.4% chance for 11th, and a 0.9% chance for 12th.
According to the NHL:
The lottery will determine the selection order for the first 16 picks for teams that did not qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Upper Deck 2025 NHL Draft will take place at the Peacock Theater in L.A. Live, Los Angeles. The first round is set for June 27 at 7 p.m. ET (broadcast on ESPN, ESPN+, SN, TVAS), with rounds 2-7 on June 28 starting at Noon ET (NHLN, ESPN+, SN, SN1).
There will be two drawings: one for the No. 1 pick and another for the No. 2 pick. No team can advance more than 10 spots in the draft order, and only the top 11 teams in the lottery are eligible for the first pick. If a team outside this group wins, the team with the worst record in the NHL will select first.
