Oregon Ducks Secure Final Visit from Five-Star Recruit Mark Bowman Amid Georgia Bulldogs Interest
Five-star tight end Mark Bowman, one of the top prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, has finalized his official visit schedule, and the Oregon Ducks are in the mix. As schools like Georgia, USC, and Miami compete for his commitment, Bowman is set to take an in-depth look at each program this summer.
According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Bowman has lined up six official visits, starting this weekend. His schedule begins with Ole Miss on May 16, followed by Miami on May 30. He will visit Texas on June 6, Georgia on June 13, USC on June 17, and conclude his tour with Oregon on June 20. Each of these schools has already sent coaches to meet with Bowman and his family this spring, according to On3.

Oregon and Georgia have been the most consistent programs in Bowman’s recruitment, with both schools battling for his attention. Recently, Georgia has gained some momentum, securing five-star quarterback Jared Curtis last week, who chose the Bulldogs over the Ducks. Despite that, Bowman says both programs continue to be significant players in his recruitment.
“Georgia and Oregon have been recruiting me since my freshman year, and they’ve been consistent throughout,” Bowman told On3. “The relationships I’ve built with the coaching staffs make them stand out.”
In addition to Georgia, the Ducks face stiff competition from USC, which has surged in the 2026 class. Bowman, a California native who attends Mater Dei High School just 40 miles from USC’s campus, is impressed by the Trojans’ recent changes and their intensified recruiting efforts.
“USC has changed a lot in the past year. They’ve been recruiting me much harder recently, and I like the energy from the staff,” Bowman explained. “It’s close to home too, which adds something extra for me.”
As Bowman begins his official visits, he will take a closer look at what each program has to offer, though he has not yet set a commitment date.
