Maryland Signs Top 10 International NBA Prospect Guillermo Del Pino
Buzz Williams and the Maryland Terrapins have made a major offseason acquisition, securing a commitment from Guillermo Del Pino, a top 10 international NBA prospect.
The 6-5, 183-pound Spanish guard has officially joined the Terrapins after a standout career on the international stage. Del Pino was named MVP of the 2023 FIBA Under-16 Euro Championship, where he averaged 14.6 points per game and led Spain to a gold medal. He was also an All-Star at the 2024 NBA Basketball Without Borders camp.
In the 2024-25 season, Del Pino played for Cordoba Club de Baloncesto, averaging 10.3 points per game across 17 appearances. Additionally, he averaged 11 points per game at the 2024 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup in Turkey, earning All-Star honors once again.

Del Pino was ranked among the top 10 international prospects by NBADraft.net in July 2024.
This signing is a significant boost for Williams and Maryland, especially as the team undergoes a full roster rebuild. Del Pino’s international experience and skill set are expected to make him an immediate impact player in College Park.
