Josh Giddey Sends Supportive Message to OKC Thunder Ahead of Game 7 vs. Nuggets
Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey shared a heartfelt message with his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammates ahead of their crucial Game 7 showdown with the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday.
In a Snapchat story posted on Friday night, Giddey expressed his confidence that the winner of Sunday’s game would go on to capture the NBA Finals. He also added that, if the Bulls weren’t going to take home the championship, he’d love to see the Thunder claim their first NBA title.
“I think the winner of Game 7 between OKC and Denver will win the whole thing,” Giddey wrote. “(And) if the Bulls can’t win it, then I want OKC to win it.”

Giddey spent the first four years of his NBA career with the Thunder, starting in all 210 regular-season games from 2021 to 2024. The Thunder selected him with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, before trading him to the Bulls for Alex Caruso last June.
His message of encouragement was met with warmth from the Thunder fanbase, even though his time in Oklahoma City ended on a somewhat disappointing note. The Thunder enter Game 7 as the favorites, having secured 68 wins during the regular season, though concerns about the health of Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon remain.
Oklahoma City is looking to reach its first Western Conference Finals since a heartbreaking 3-1 series loss to the Warriors in 2016. Game 7 is set to tip off at 3:30 PM EDT on Sunday, airing on ABC, with the winner advancing to face the Minnesota Timberwolves starting Tuesday.
