The starting point guard on the Hawkeyes’ Elite Eight team in 2019, she served as director of player development for two years
IOWA CITY — Tania Davis is no longer part of the Iowa women’s basketball coaching staff, according to information obtained by The Gazette.
While specific reasons for her departure remain unknown, Davis had spent the past two seasons at Iowa as the director of player development—first under longtime head coach Lisa Bluder, and most recently under current head coach Jan Jensen.
A 2019 graduate of Iowa, Davis was a key contributor during her playing days, serving as the starting point guard on the Hawkeyes’ Elite Eight squad in her senior season. She finished her collegiate career with 1,007 total points.
