Four-Star Tight End Commits to Wisconsin Badgers
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program secured another tight end from Washington State with the commitment of Jack Sievers. Sievers, who plays for Everett Archbishop Murphy, announced his decision to join the Badgers on Monday.
Sievers is ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 14 tight end in the 2026 class by ESPN. Other recruiting services like On3, 247, and Rivals have him as a mid-to-high three-star prospect.

He had an unofficial visit to Wisconsin in early April and returned for an official visit this past weekend. In addition to Wisconsin, he had official visits lined up with Boise State, Minnesota, and San Diego State. He also received offers from California and Oklahoma, which he mentioned on social media.

1. Wisconsin Lands a Fast Tight End
At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Sievers has speed that sets him apart from many tight ends. He clocked an impressive 11.08 in the 100-meter dash in May. His junior highlight reel shows him not only catching passes but also being used as a ball carrier, displaying the ability to break tackles and gain yards after the catch. If he can add more weight while maintaining his speed, he could become a versatile weapon in Jeff Grimes’ offense, which emphasizes stretching defenses vertically.
2. Another Washington Tight End Chooses Wisconsin
Sievers is the second tight end from Washington to commit to Wisconsin under Fickell. Tucker Ashcraft, who stood out in the 2025 spring practices, committed in December 2022. Another notable recruit from Washington, offensive lineman Walker Williams, played for Wisconsin from 2012-2015, though his career was limited to just 16 games.
3. Wisconsin’s Strong Start in the 2026 Recruiting Class
As Wisconsin entered the official visit period from May 29 to June 1, the Badgers already had seven commits for the 2026 class. With Sievers’ commitment, the total number of pledges from this group has now risen to 10. This is a solid bounce-back after outside linebacker Carmelow Reed flipped his commitment to Mississippi just an hour before Sievers made his announcement.
In short, Wisconsin is continuing to build momentum in recruiting as it solidifies key commitments, including a talented tight end with standout speed and potential.
