Texas Tech Football Adds Another Commitment to 2026 Class

Texas Tech has secured its second commitment for the 2026 recruiting class this weekend. On Sunday, edge rusher Demarcus Marks announced his decision to commit to the Red Raiders. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect from Houston, TX, is currently unranked on both 247Sports and On3, though he holds a 3-star rating on Rivals. His only other Division I offer so far is from Utah.

Marks visited Lubbock over the weekend, and it’s clear that the trip went well. In a conversation with 247Sports, Marks shared his thoughts heading into the visit, emphasizing the importance of determining if Texas Tech was the right fit.

“First, I wanted to see if I’d fit in at Texas Tech, now that I had the chance to experience everything in person,” Marks said. “At Tech, I’m looking to learn all the basics and discover what the university can offer me both as a student and as an athlete.”
