Giannis Antetokounmpo Gives Brief Response About His Future with the Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have been active this offseason, making several moves to strengthen their roster in an effort to retain their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo. While rumors about his future with the team have been circulating, the two-time MVP himself seems content in Milwaukee.
In a recent interview with online streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed, Antetokounmpo gave a succinct response about his future:
“Probably. We’ll see. I love Milwaukee.”
Despite the uncertainty reported by various insiders, the 30-year-old star has consistently expressed his commitment to the city and team. The Bucks are clearly focused on ensuring Antetokounmpo remains with the franchise long-term.
As of now, the nine-time All-Star seems firmly settled in Milwaukee, and his career there speaks for itself. Over 12 seasons, all spent with the Bucks, he has averaged 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game, with shooting splits of 55.1% from the field and 28.4% from three.
In addition to his accolades, including a Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020 and nine All-NBA selections, Giannis is widely regarded as one of the best to ever wear a Bucks jersey.
Losing a player of his caliber would be a major blow for the Bucks, though any trade involving Antetokounmpo would likely yield a massive return, potentially including multiple first-round picks.
