Denver Nuggets Sign 12-Year NBA Veteran Guard Tim Hardaway Jr.

The Denver Nuggets have officially signed Tim Hardaway Jr., marking the veteran guard’s latest move in his 12-season NBA career.

The former Michigan standout played for the Detroit Pistons during the 2024-25 season. After hitting the free-agent market this summer, he has now inked a deal with the Nuggets.

From Nuggets.com: “Denver, July 10, 2025 – The Denver Nuggets have signed free agent guard/forward Tim Hardaway Jr. to a contract, as announced today by Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Ben Tenzer and Executive Vice President of Player Personnel Jonathan Wallace.”

Last season, Hardaway Jr. posted averages of 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, shooting 40.6% from the field and 36.8% from beyond the arc over 77 games.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Hardaway agreed to a one-year deal with Denver. Charania reported on July 1: “Free agent sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year contract with the Denver Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. Hardaway had a solid season with the Pistons in their 2024-25 resurgence, and now Denver is finalizing the deal with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports.”

At 33 years old, Hardaway Jr. has also played for the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Atlanta Hawks. He was selected 24th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.
