Memphis Grizzlies Officially Sign Ty Jerome, Former NBA 1st-Round Pick
The Memphis Grizzlies have officially signed Ty Jerome, who recently finished an impressive season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In 70 games, Jerome averaged 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He also shot 51.6% from the field and 43.9% from beyond the arc.
On Monday, the Grizzlies confirmed the signing via a press release: “The @memgrizz today announced the team signed Ty Jerome to a multi-year contract.”
Jerome was selected 24th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns after a standout college career at Virginia. Over the course of six seasons, he has played for the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
His career averages include 8.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, with shooting splits of 45.8% from the field and 38.1% from three in 229 games played.

Last season, the Grizzlies finished as the 8th seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record but were swept in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Jerome agreed to a three-year, $28 million deal with Memphis, which includes a player option for the third year. The contract was negotiated by Kieran Piller and Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports.
