Utah Jazz Considering Bringing Back Familiar Face for Next Season
The Utah Jazz may be looking to make another move to tweak their roster ahead of the upcoming season. Reports suggest that the team is considering a possible addition, and one player familiar with the organization from last season may be in the mix.
Spencer Davies of RG reports that the Jazz have had “productive conversations” with Isaiah Wong, a wing who spent time with the team during training camp last year before being waived in early October.
Wong, 24, is currently part of the Celtics’ summer league roster and recently showcased his skills at CSE’s Pro Day, where he caught the attention of scouts, including the Jazz, as a potential fit for next season.
In his three games at the 2K26 NBA Summer League, Wong has averaged 3.0 points in just over 13 minutes per game, shooting 27.3% from the field.
Originally selected 55th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2023 NBA Draft, Wong played two games with them before moving on to the Charlotte Hornets for the 2024-25 season. Over 20 games, he averaged 6.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in about 13 minutes per game.
While no official signing is imminent and Utah currently holds 16 traditional contracts heading into the 2025-26 season, the team may need to make some adjustments to their roster. Still, it wouldn’t be surprising if Wong finds his way back to the Jazz come training camp, given the apparent support he has within the organization.
