Titans Add Former Vikings Linebacker Jihad Ward to Roster

The Tennessee Titans have strengthened their linebacker corps by signing veteran Jihad Ward. The team kicked off their training camp on Tuesday with the first practice of the preseason. While much of the attention has been on new faces like quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans continue to bolster their roster ahead of the 2025 season.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Titans have agreed to terms with Jihad Ward, the former Minnesota Vikings linebacker who appeared in all 17 games for the Vikings in 2024.

Ward, a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas), made an immediate impact, recording 30 tackles and playing all 16 games as a rookie. He spent time with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018 and the Baltimore Ravens in 2019 before moving on to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021. Most recently, Ward played for the New York Giants during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

A durable player, Ward has appeared in every game over the last four seasons and is entering his 10th year in the NFL. Over his career, he has accumulated 168 tackles, 19 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, and 73 quarterback hits. Ward’s experience and versatility will provide much-needed depth to a Titans defense aiming to improve in 2025.
