Suns Making Strong Push for Warriors Forward Jonathan Kuminga
The Phoenix Suns are actively looking to overhaul their roster and have set their sights on Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga, according to multiple reports. 
ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that the Suns have made a “concrete” offer for Kuminga, with Phoenix among the most aggressive teams in pursuit. The Sacramento Kings are also reportedly in the mix, making similar offers to the Warriors.
Kuminga would be a key addition to a reshaped Suns roster, which has seen high-profile players like Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal depart. Veteran additions such as Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green aim to support Devin Booker as the team seeks to stay competitive in the coming seasons.
As a restricted free agent, Kuminga would need to be part of a sign-and-trade deal to join Phoenix. While the Warriors have reportedly extended offers to him, Kuminga has not shown interest in any of the proposals.
Further details from ESPN explain that both Phoenix and Sacramento are working on packages for Kuminga but have not yet made a breakthrough with the Warriors. Golden State is reportedly looking to avoid taking on unfavorable contracts, preferring a promising young player and insisting on a first-round pick in any sign-and-trade arrangement. However, the Suns do not have a first-round pick available to offer.
The market for restricted free agents has been slow due to limited cap space across the league, and the Warriors have likely anticipated this, offering Kuminga what they believe is the highest starting salary on the table.
