Fresno State Names Captains for the 2025 Football Season

As Fresno State football prepares to kick off the 2025 season, the Bulldogs have revealed their team captains for the upcoming year. The four captains selected are linebacker Jadon Pearson, cornerback Al’Zillon Hamilton, offensive lineman Jacob Spomer, and defensive back Camryn Bracha.

Each of these players has shown exceptional leadership and skill on the field, earning the role of team captain. Here’s a closer look at the four leaders and what they bring to the team for 2025:

  • Jadon Pearson: A transfer from Utah State, Pearson’s football journey includes stops at Air Force, Utah, and Utah State. Despite being new to Fresno State, the veteran linebacker brings valuable experience, having logged 42 tackles and three tackles for loss in 2024. With his college experience dating back to 2020, Pearson’s leadership will be a key asset to the Bulldogs.

  • Al’Zillon Hamilton: Regarded as Fresno State’s top player for the upcoming season, Hamilton returns for his senior year after three strong seasons with the Bulldogs. As a cornerback, he’s made an impressive impact with 82 solo tackles and four interceptions over the past two years. His leadership on and off the field makes him a natural choice for captain.

  • Jacob Spomer: After transferring from Diablo Valley College, Spomer has been a consistent starter at left tackle for Fresno State, having played in every game but one over the past three years. Though injuries have limited his eligibility, his experience and perseverance have made him an invaluable part of the Bulldogs’ offensive line.

  • Camryn Bracha: Also a senior, Bracha has been a key defensive player for Fresno State, recording 33 solo tackles in his first two seasons despite facing injury setbacks. His highlight last season came with an interception in the thrilling win over Sac State. Bracha is poised for a strong senior year as the Bulldogs aim to reclaim the top spot in the Mountain West.

These four seniors will provide the leadership and playmaking necessary for Fresno State to compete at the highest level in 2025. With their talent and experience, they’ll play a key role in the Bulldogs’ push for Mountain West dominance under head coach Matt Entz.
