Oregon Ducks Share Top Spot with Alabama for Most 5-Star Commits
The Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide are tied for the highest number of five-star recruits in the 2026 recruiting class. Oregon’s class includes top talents such as offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, safety Jett Washington, EDGE Anthony Jones, and tight end Kendre Harrison. Known for their elite recruiting, the Ducks are currently ranked No. 3 in the 2026 class by On3, with four five-star commitments, tying them with Alabama for the most.
Oregon Ducks Recruiting: What Could Have Been?
Oregon did experience some setbacks in recruiting, including the loss of five-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene, who switched his commitment from Oregon to Washington in April. Additionally, five-star EDGE rusher Richard Wesley famously de-committed from the Ducks just days after posting a celebratory video with Oregon coach Dan Lanning. Wesley later committed to Texas.
The star of Oregon’s 2026 recruiting class is five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, who made his commitment on the Pat McAfee Show. Iheanacho shared his excitement about Oregon, praising the university’s people, the chance to play early, and the legacy of former Oregon tackle Josh Conerly, who was drafted in the first round. Despite the long distance from his home state of Maryland to Eugene, Iheanacho felt that Oregon was the right fit for him.
