Cincinnati Bearcats Football Reunites with Legend for New Facility Tour
Cincinnati Bearcats Football Welcomes Back Alec Pierce to Tour New Facility
A special visit to a state-of-the-art space.
CINCINNATI — Over the weekend, the Bearcats football program had the pleasure of welcoming back a true legend. Former wide receiver and current Indianapolis Colts star Alec Pierce stopped by Clifton during his team’s preseason game against the Bengals to explore the newly built Sheakley Indoor Practice Facility and Performance Center.
Reflecting on his time at UC, Pierce shared, “We created some amazing football memories — winning conference championships in my junior and senior years was unforgettable. But honestly, just hanging out with my friends at our house on Jefferson was what I really enjoyed. We’d have the whole team over, and it felt like one big family.”
Pierce is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers in Bearcats history, both for his success on the field and his NFL career. He ranks 15th all-time at UC with 1,834 career receiving yards, including a standout 2021 season where he set personal bests with 867 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. His impressive 17.34 yards per catch during Cincinnati’s College Football Playoff run ranks fourth for a single season in school history.
