LSU Football Offers North Carolina Prospect Grayson Williams, Eyeing Ohio State and Florida State Target
LSU football has joined the recruiting race for one of the top prospects in the 2028 class, offering four-star offensive tackle Grayson Williams from Raleigh, North Carolina, on Wednesday evening.
Williams, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound offensive lineman, is quickly emerging as one of the nation’s premier recruits. He is currently ranked among the top five overall players in North Carolina and has already received offers from powerhouse programs such as Ohio State, Florida State, North Carolina, Penn State, and Miami, among others.
As his recruitment heats up, Williams has expressed his desire for development at his next destination. “I want to see how far I can go,” he told 247Sports. “I know anyone can be a regular offensive lineman, but I want to be the most athletic one. I want to be different.”
Williams made a name for himself during an impressive freshman season in 2024, and as he enters his sophomore year, he’s becoming a highly sought-after recruit in the 2028 class. LSU, which has been making moves in both the 2027 and 2028 cycles, also recently extended a scholarship to another top recruit, tight end Jaxon Dollar.
LSU Offers 2027 Tight End Jaxon Dollar After Strong Visit
Jaxon Dollar, a four-star tight end from Denver, North Carolina, is also gaining traction as one of the top prospects in the 2027 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-5, 208-pounder had a standout sophomore year, logging 13 receptions for 224 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. He also excelled on the basketball court, earning NCBCA All-District honors in 2024 with averages of 15.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists, three steals, and 2.1 blocks.
This past weekend, Dollar visited LSU for their home opener against Louisiana Tech. Though he arrived in Baton Rouge without an offer, the Tigers extended one to him after the visit, intensifying their pursuit of the talented dual-sport athlete.
Dollar already holds offers from major programs like Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida State, and Clemson. With LSU now in the mix, the race for his commitment is heating up as his recruitment continues to rise.
