Mizzou Tigers Land Commitment from 3-Star LB JJ Bush
The Missouri Tigers have secured another addition to their 2026 recruiting class, this time in three-star linebacker JJ Bush, who recently backed out of his commitment to Arkansas following the firing of head coach Sam Pittman.
Bush, a four-star recruit from Theodore High School, is ranked No. 271 nationally and holds the No. 14 spot in Alabama as well as No. 17 among all linebackers.
The Alabama native visited several programs, including Cincinnati, LSU, Arkansas, and Missouri. His most influential visit was to LSU, but ultimately it came down to the two Tigers programs, with Mizzou coming out on top. Missouri had been a strong contender for Bush from the start, and he has now chosen the Tigers.
As a junior, Bush had an impressive season, registering 69 tackles, six sacks, and an interception. Additionally, he played running back, where he totaled 344 yards and six touchdowns.
Bush’s commitment was somewhat unexpected, but it strengthens the Tigers’ linebacker corps, giving them their second linebacker in this class. He joins fellow three-star recruit Keenan Harris from St. Louis. Three-star DQ Forkpa remains a key target for Missouri. This marks the fourth consecutive defensive commitment for the Tigers in recent weeks.
