Barton’s Jackson Parrish Earns Conference Carolinas Football Offensive Player of the Week Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Jackson Parrish of Barton College has been named the Conference Carolinas Football Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by league officials earlier today.
Parrish, a sophomore running back from Graham, N.C., set a career high with 218 rushing yards in the Bulldogs’ 34-20 victory over Ferrum last Saturday in Ferrum, Va. He also added a 39-yard touchdown run and averaged 8.1 yards per carry.
With this performance, Parrish became the first player in conference history to surpass 200 rushing yards in a game. He currently leads the Bulldogs in both rushing yards (466) and touchdowns (five) this season.
Parrish was also named a 2024 South Atlantic Conference All-Piedmont Division honoree.
UNC Pembroke’s Justin Freeman and Taylor Harris were named the Conference Carolinas Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The Bulldogs (1-5, 1-1) will host Chowan (2-4, 1-1) this Saturday, October 18, at 4:00 p.m. at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
