Crimson Tide Goes Big to Land Top‑Rated EDGE in ’27 Class
Alabama Set to Host 4-Star 2027 EDGE Jaiden Bryant
Alabama is among several top programs scheduled to host elite 2027 edge rusher Jaiden Bryant this fall, as the highly ranked prospect continues a busy stretch of campus visits.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff have been aggressive on the recruiting front this season, targeting standout players from the 2026 and 2027 classes and beyond. Bryant, a 4-star defender, recently visited Texas A&M and told 247Sports that more Power Four visits are on the horizon — including a stop in Tuscaloosa on October 18.
Bryant will be in attendance for Alabama’s marquee matchup against Tennessee, then will head to South Carolina on October 25. His fall tour continues with visits to Tennessee (Knoxville) on November 1 and Miami (Coral Gables) on November 8. He’s also slated to return to both LSU (November 15) and Texas A&M (November 22), and wrap up the month with a second trip to South Carolina on November 29.
At 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, Bryant is regarded as one of the most dominant edge rushers in the 2027 class. He’s currently ranked as the No. 5 edge nationally and the No. 2 overall prospect in South Carolina, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
A junior at Irmo High School, Bryant is already putting up impressive numbers this season, tallying 42 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, and an interception. Over his high school career to date, he’s totaled 171 tackles, 33 TFLs, 23.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and one pick.
South Carolina and Texas A&M appear to be early leaders in his recruitment — both getting two visits this fall — but Alabama has a valuable opportunity to make a major impression during his week eight visit.
