Cincinnati Bengals Make Roster Adjustments Before Jets Game

CINCINNATI — The Bengals announced several roster changes ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets.

Linebacker Joe Giles-Harris has been elevated to the active roster, while Cedric Johnson has been ruled out as he continues to recover from a lingering ankle injury.

The team will also see the return of Trey Hendrickson, who missed last week’s Thursday night victory over Pittsburgh.

Giles-Harris joins a linebacker unit that’s been in flux recently, following Logan Wilson’s trade request after a reduction in his playing time. Head coach Zac Taylor addressed the situation on Friday, encouraging Wilson to stay focused and continue contributing to the team.

“Just keep focused on being here and helping us as best you can,” Taylor told reporters. “I know it’s frustrating with the role, but he’s handled it really well. He’s been a great leader for our young linebackers and continues to be an important part of this team.”

The Bengals (3–4) will face the winless Jets (0–7) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Paycor Stadium, where the team will also honor a new Ring of Honor class.
