Buckeyes Strike Transfer Gold With Highly Rated 4-Star LB Commit
Ohio State Lands Flip From Wake Forest Commit Braxton Rembert
Mill Creek (Hoschton, Ga.) linebacker Braxton Rembert announced Tuesday that he has switched his commitment from Wake Forest to Ohio State.
The four-star Rivals prospect took an official visit to Columbus over the weekend and came away impressed.
“Overall the visit was really cool,” Rembert told LettermenRow.com. “Ohio State sets extremely high standards, and every player is expected to meet them. The environment there was amazing.”
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound linebacker originally committed to Wake Forest in June, choosing the Demon Deacons over programs such as Army, Southern Miss, and USF. Ohio State entered the picture earlier this fall and offered him in October.
Rembert now becomes part of a Buckeyes recruiting class ranked No. 6 nationally in the Rivals Industry Team Rankings.
He also debuted in the latest Rivals300 on Monday, earning the No. 202 overall spot and ranking as the No. 12 linebacker in the 2026 class. Notably, Rivals is the only major recruiting service currently evaluating him as a four-star prospect.
