It’s Official! Four-Star OL Kevin Brown Commits to WVU on The Pat McAfee Show
A major addition to West Virginia’s 2026 recruiting class.

After several weeks of buildup, the moment finally arrived. On Tuesday afternoon, Class of 2026 offensive lineman Kevin Brown (6’5″, 270 lbs) from Harrisburg, PA, announced on The Pat McAfee Show that he is committing to West Virginia.

Brown, who had previously been pledged to Penn State, was also weighing offers from Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina, Ohio State, and others. ESPN ranks him as the No. 78 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 13 offensive tackle.

This marks a huge recruiting victory for Rich Rodriguez, who is eager to strengthen the offensive line heading into 2026. While most first-year offensive linemen typically redshirt or see limited snaps, a select few are capable of contributing immediately — and Brown is one of those rare talents.

He’s a dominant run blocker with relentless drive, routinely pushing defenders several yards downfield and playing through the whistle. Coming from a run-heavy offensive system, he should transition smoothly into Rodriguez’s scheme. Brown also shows impressive lateral quickness and can be highly effective as a pulling lineman.

His father, Tim, played for Rich Rodriguez at West Virginia in the early 2000s.

Brown is now the fifth offensive lineman to commit to WVU in the 2026 cycle, joining Lamarcus Dillard, Rhett Morris, Camden Goforth, and Aidan Woods.
