Rams Provide Update on Davante Adams Ahead of Lions Matchup

The Los Angeles Rams released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s showdown with the Detroit Lions, and wide receiver Davante Adams remains the primary concern.

Adams was limited in practice on Friday as he continues to deal with a hamstring issue. He is officially listed as questionable, though the team fully expects him to suit up. Adams did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but has consistently expressed confidence that he will be available.

Head coach Sean McVay addressed Adams’ status during his Friday press conference, noting that all players are in good shape overall, with Adams being the only one carrying a game designation. McVay said he would be surprised if Adams does not play, adding that Adams has maintained a strong mindset throughout the week. While the injury report may list him as limited, McVay emphasized that Adams will take the reps that matter and is essentially viewed as a full participant.

On the Rams’ injury report, Byron Young (knee/rest) and Alaric Jackson (rest) did not practice, though both absences were routine and neither player is expected to miss the game. Tutu Atwell (hamstring) and Darious Williams (tibia) were full participants all week after missing the previous game against Arizona and are set to return.

McVay also explained the decision to activate Atwell, noting that failing to do so would have ended his 21-day return window and kept him on injured reserve for the rest of the season. With Atwell set to become a free agent, the Rams felt it was important to have him available. McVay acknowledged the challenge of finding snaps for Atwell given the emergence of other contributors but expressed confidence in Atwell’s ability to positively impact the game.

On the Lions’ side, Detroit will be without Brian Branch (Achilles) and Kerby Joseph (knee), both of whom did not practice and have been ruled out. Taylor Decker (shoulder) did not participate and is listed as questionable. Several other Lions players were limited and are also questionable, including Kayode Awosika, Thomas Harper, Christian Mahogany, Kalif Raymond, Sione Vaki, and Shane Zylstra. Linebacker Alex Anzalone, who missed practice earlier in the week due to illness, returned to full participation and is expected to play.
