Busy Business Back For Nebraska Staff-Nebraska Makes Huge Offers, 2026 DL And Intriguing Future To Come

Nebraska makes offer to Valdin Sone

On Thursday, Nebraska coaches EJ Barthel and Terry Bradden extended an offer to one of the standout recruits for 2026, Valdin Sone.

The skilled defensive lineman from Sweden is currently playing high school football in Virginia and made quite an impression at the All-American Bowl last week.

According to 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks, “Sone demonstrated his speed-to-power skills in dominant 1-on-1 matchups and effectively handled double teams to disrupt run plays during team drills.” He was also recognized as the “Top Bull Rusher” among linemen at the event by 247Sports Director of Scouting, Andrew Ivins.

Given that he’s already participating in All-American Bowls as a junior, it’s no surprise that Sone is attracting attention from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Oklahoma.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 320 pounds, Sone is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports and is likely to see his ranking rise following his practices and performance at the All-American Bowl.
