Aggies add additional depth at a position of need.

Texas A&M has focused on upgrading its wide receiver position through the transfer portal this offseason, and this week they strengthened that effort by securing a commitment from Jonah Wilson, a transfer from Houston Cougars.

Wilson struggled with injuries during his two years at Houston, recording just 11 receptions for 118 yards and one touchdown. However, the former four-star recruit brings much-needed size (standing at 6’2″) to the Texas A&M receiver corps, especially after the departure of Noah Thomas. His addition also provides valuable depth following the news that recent transfer Micah Hudson is stepping away from the team for undisclosed reasons.

While nothing is guaranteed for Wilson as he joins the Aggies, he has three years of eligibility remaining and the potential to develop and strengthen a position that was a weak spot for A&M in 2024.
