Mock Draft Has Rams Adding Another Offensive Playmaker

The Los Angeles Rams’ offense thrived during the second half of the season, and now a new mock draft predicts they’ll add another key playmaker. The Rams have been excellent at developing talent.

After a strong playoff run that ended in a narrow 29-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL Divisional Round, the Rams now turn their focus to the offseason. With a young core, especially on defense, the team looks to build on their success as they prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

While the Rams don’t have glaring needs on either side of the ball, there are still areas they can address in the offseason and draft. They are likely to select the best available player, as seen last year when they picked back-to-back defensive players from the same school.

In a recent mock draft from Fox Sports, the Rams are predicted to add to their already talented offense by selecting tight end Colston Loveland from the University of Michigan.

Although the Rams have some needs on the offensive line and in the secondary, they may not be able to resist another standout from Michigan. Loveland, who has significant potential, could be an excellent addition, especially since veteran tight end Tyler Higbee, who turned 32 and missed much of the season with injuries, may not be able to carry the load much longer.

If veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford returns for another season, Loveland could become a valuable weapon for him. Stafford and Higbee have built strong chemistry over the years, and Loveland has the skills to step into a similar role. This past season, Loveland recorded 582 yards, 56 catches, and five touchdowns. Known for his pass-catching ability, Loveland also played a key role in Michigan’s rushing attack. As a strong blocker, he would be a great fit in Sean McVay’s offense if the Rams select him in the draft.
