Top Tier Bid Rejected

This summer, Norwich City is getting ready for another Championship campaign.
Under David Wagner, the Canaries placed among the top six teams in the previous campaign. But they succumbed handily to Leeds United over the course of two legs in the semifinals, giving up the lead at the first hurdle.
The German manager was fired as a result, and Johannes Hoff Thorup, who is set to play the English game for the first time, took his position.

The previous season, Sara, 25, was a standout player for the club. He participated in 48 league games, two of which were playoff games, and finished with 13 goals and 12 assists.

The adaptable midfield player can play on either flank when necessary, but he is most comfortable in the middle.
Leeds United and other teams have been pursuing him this summer, but Galatasaray, a Turkish powerhouse, was the one that lost out on their initial offer because the Canaries wanted more before they would consider selling.
Galatasaray’s bid might ultimately compel the Whites and other parties to make a move of their own or risk losing out on Sara.

The 25-year-old proved to be a top-tier second-tier player the previous season, and he would be a valuable addition to Daniel Farke’s team, which is now short-handed in central midfield.
Nevertheless, considering that his contract at Carrow Road does not expire until 2026 and that the Canaries have the option to extend it by one more year, Norwich City is obviously unwilling to budge on their valuation and are under no obligation to sell this summer.

For the duration of the window, this one will be interesting to watch, and it would not be shocking to see another bid come in for the Brazilian.
Hoff Thorup will be aiming to repeat Norwich City’s previous season’s top six result. Although it will not be simple in a challenging and competitive level, the Danish manager will be aiming higher: promotion back to the Premier League.

Their prospects of succeeding would be enhanced if they retained Sara, but it appears that they are prepared to sell him this summer for the proper amount.

However, if an agreement is reached, the Canaries would gain from having as much time as possible to look for and assemble allies after his departure.

Although there are still roughly four weeks left in the transfer window, waiting until it is too late would put them in a difficult position moving forward.
