Padres Add Former Dodgers and Braves All-Star Outfielder in Major Free Agent Signing
The San Diego Padres have agreed to terms with outfielder Jayson Heyward, according to MLB insider Dennis Lin. Heyward spent most of the 2024 season with the Padres’ NL West rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Padres have agreed to a free-agent deal with Jason Heyward, a source tells @TheAthletic. Heyward is expected to share time in left field with Connor Joe, who agreed to a deal earlier today.

It’s expected that Heyward will share left field duties with newly signed Connor Joe. While the Padres had been relatively quiet for most of the offseason, they made two key signings in one day.
