The Nebraska Cornhuskers have officially completed a long-anticipated move by hiring Terry Bradden to join their coaching staff.
Speculation about Bradden leaving Andy Reid’s staff for the college level first surfaced in mid-December as the Chiefs’ regular season was winding down. Bradden later shared a heartfelt message on social media, bidding farewell to Chiefs Kingdom.

Bradden has been a key member of the Chiefs’ defensive coaching staff since 2017, beginning as a general assistant under Bob Sutton. In 2018, he was promoted to defensive quality control coach and remained in that role through the transition from Sutton to Steve Spagnuolo, even as the staff underwent major changes.
Four seasons ago, Bradden was elevated to assistant defensive line coach and has worked under Joe Cullen since 2022. Now, he takes on a new challenge as Nebraska’s defensive line coach, marking his first opportunity as a lead positional coach at a major college program—an experience that could help propel his coaching career forward.
Bradden’s departure is one of several coaching staff changes for the Chiefs this offseason. The team also lost assistant defensive backs coach Donald D’Alesio to the Baltimore Ravens but brought back former linebackers coach Matt House as a senior defensive analyst. Additionally, former Wisconsin linebacker Chris Orr has joined the staff after coaching at Jackson State last season.
