NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – While many major college football programs are forgoing their spring games in 2025, Vanderbilt University has announced the date for their Black & Gold game.
The spring game is scheduled for April 12, following the Commodores’ first winning season since 2013, spearheaded by quarterback Diego Pavia.
Pavia and his team wrapped up the 2024-25 season on a high note with a 35-27 win over Georgia Tech in the Birmingham Bowl.
“Fans will get their first look at the 2025 edition of Vanderbilt football on April 12 during the annual Black and Gold Spring Game. The scrimmage is set to kick off at 1 p.m. at FirstBank Stadium,” said Vanderbilt.

Although the next college football season is still several months away, several prominent programs have recently made news by deciding to forgo their spring games.
