Not everyone is thrilled with the recently announced contract extension for Hubert Davis.
The announcement regarding the UNC basketball program set off a frenzy on social media this afternoon, and no, it’s not about the recent hiring of a new general manager.
Hubert Davis has reportedly agreed to a contract extension that will last until the 2029-2030 season. This agreement was reached last summer but was officially signed on December 4, with the news finally coming to light nearly three months later.
As we all know, social media tends to be quite calm and composed during significant announcements.
Just kidding—it was utter chaos, just as we anticipated!
Finding people who are pleased with this news is a challenge (unless you’re a Duke fan who fails to recognize that this coach ended Coach K’s career and has enjoyed considerable success against the Blue Devils over the past four seasons).
