Four-Star Georgia Recruit Plans NC State Football Official Visit

NC State football will welcome 2026 safety Cortez Redding for an official visit in early June. Redding, a safety from Jonesboro High School (Ga.), is set to visit Raleigh to meet with head coach Dave Doeren and the NC State recruiting staff starting on June 6, as reported by multiple sources this week.

The 6-foot, 175-pound four-star junior, who is nearing 50 offers in his recruitment, has also arranged official visits to Ole Miss and Miami. He has been offered by NC State since last April.

Redding, who toured NC State’s facilities on an unofficial visit earlier this month, is ranked No. 215 overall, No. 19 at his position, and No. 28 among Georgia prospects in the 247Sports 2026 Composite.

Currently, Dave Doeren and his staff have secured four early three-star verbal commitments for the 2026 class: Milford Mill Academy (Md.) safety Koby Sarkodie, Paramus Catholic High School (N.J.) linebacker Jordan Moreta, Trinity Episcopal School (Va.) offensive tackle Brady Sakowitz, and Reagan High School (N.C.) quarterback Jacob Smith.

NC State’s 2026 class is ranked No. 48 nationally and No. 11 among ACC programs, according to 247Sports.
