Commanders LB Bobby Wagner Reacts to Jonathan Allen’s Release
Jonathan Allen was let go by the Washington Commanders after eight seasons with the team.
The decision to part ways with Allen wasn’t easy, and it’s expected to have a significant effect on the locker room.
Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner discussed Allen’s importance to the team and how much his presence will be missed.
Wagner’s Praise for Allen
“He’s a true professional—a guy we all respect a lot. I wasn’t here for all of his years, but I know what he’s meant to the city and what he’s done for the team, through both the good and tough seasons. I’m excited for him as he continues his career, and I know he’ll keep doing great things.”
With Allen’s departure, the Commanders will now look to find his replacement in free agency when the legal tampering period begins Monday, ahead of the new league year starting Wednesday.
