NC State Football Program Supports Major Wolfpack Recruiting Push
The NC State football team and a former Wolfpack star recently hosted in-state four-star recruit Ebenezer Ewetade in Raleigh.
Davin Vann, a former NC State football defensive end who is preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft, joined the Wolfpack staff on Tuesday and assisted with recruiting efforts for the highly regarded 2026 edge rusher from South Garner High School, Ebenezer Ewetade. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Ewetade shared a photo with Vann during his unofficial visit, which coincided with an NC State spring practice session.
Earlier this month, Ewetade revealed his top five schools: NC State, Florida State, Georgia, Alabama, and Notre Dame.

At this point, NC State is the only school in his top five that hasn’t yet scheduled an official visit. Ewetade plans to visit Florida State on May 30, followed by trips to Georgia, Alabama, and Notre Dame on consecutive weekends in June.
Ranked No. 152 overall, No. 16 at his position, and No. 10 among North Carolina recruits on the 247Sports 2026 Composite, Ewetade is one of the most sought-after prospects in the class.
Meanwhile, NC State’s 13th-year head coach, Dave Doeren, and his staff have already secured four commitments for the 2026 class, ranking No. 53 in the nation, according to 247Sports.
