USC Trojans’ Impressive 5-Star Recruit List Makes Headlines

USC Trojans Welcome Elite Recruits: 5-Star Ryder Lyons, 4-Star Shaun Scott

The USC Trojans kicked off their spring practice on Tuesday by hosting a talented group of recruits. On Thursday, the team welcomed another impressive roster of prospects, including five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons from Folsom (Calif.).

The Trojans’ first day of spring practice featured standout recruits such as five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington from Mount Miguel (Calif.) and four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui from Mater Dei (Calif.).

Thursday’s visit brought in more blue-chip talent, including five-star quarterback Ryder Lyons from Folsom (Calif.), four-star linebacker Shaun Scott from Mater Dei (Calif.), four-star offensive lineman Samuel Utu from Orange Lutheran (Calif.), four-star defensive lineman Preston Carey from IMG Academy (Fla.), and three-star defensive lineman Khary Wilder from Serra (Calif.).

Brandon Arrington shared his excitement with 247Sports, saying, “I had great conversations with coach Lincoln Riley, coach Doug Belk, coach Trovon Reed, coach D’Anton Lynn, and general manager Chad Bowen. The conversations were awesome, and they all made me feel like the biggest priority.”

In addition to the new recruits, USC hosted three commits from their No. 1 ranked recruiting class: four-star cornerback Brandon Lockhart from Loyola (Calif.), and three-star athletes Madden Riordan and Ja’Myron “Tron” Baker from Sierra Canyon (Calif.).

Both Lockhart and Riordan have been vocal about recruiting top talent from Southern California to join them at USC. Riordan has emphasized a simple message: “Stay home and be a part of something special.”
