Hello Avalanche supporters,
In 16 days, we will start our 25th year at Ball Arena. Reflecting on the last 25 years, it is impressive to see all the progress and achievements that have taken place since my father acquired this arena and franchise and began turning his vision for the Avalanche into reality. Throughout the journey, eight division titles have been achieved, which resulted in the Stanley Cups of 2001 and 2022, showcasing iconic figures such as Peter Forsberg, Joe Sakic, Ray Bourque, Patrick Roy, Cale Makar, and the previous season’s Hart Trophy recipient, Nathan MacKinnon.
In anticipation of the Avs home opener on October 12, we are thrilled to start a new era for Colorado hockey and our supporters. Avalanche fans’ strong passion and constant desire to watch their favorite teams have inspired us to announce a solution for you to watch all games this season.
Due to our amazing partners and the efforts of many team members, we are excited to unveil a new distribution model for Altitude Sports, providing fans with increased access to live broadcasts of all games. Indeed – every single game.
Starting in the middle of October, all Altitude Sports broadcasts of the Avs and the Denver Nuggets will be accessible on Altitude+, the new streaming platform for Altitude Sports. Starting in mid-October, Altitude+ can be downloaded on tablets and smart phones, allowing Avs Faithful to access content on their preferred devices wherever they are. Altitude+ will offer a minimum of 60 games for each team and will be accessible as a streaming service for $19.95 per month directly to consumers.
Similar to previous years, Altitude Sports network will still broadcast local games on TV for customers of DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, and Spectrum TV. To access a complete lineup of carriers offering Altitude Sports, refer to the list provided.
Furthermore, we have made public a broadcast rights deal with TEGNA, allowing 20 Avalanche games to air on Denver’s 9NEWS (KUSA-TV) and My20 (KTVD-TV) at no cost. This adds to the 17 nationally broadcasted games that were already announced. Altitude Sports will produce games on 9NEWS and My20, showcasing familiar talent like Marc Moser, Mark Rycroft, Kyle Keefe, John-Michael Liles, John Mitchell, and Yan Stastny.
This is a thrilling moment for Colorado sports and we are eager for your support throughout the season as we strive to bring the Stanley Cup back to Denver.
Thank you for your ongoing support and we anticipate your presence at Ball Arena in the near future.
Josh Kroenke.
