A look at which Wildcats did and did not make a 53-man roster for the upcoming NFL season

On Tuesday, NFL teams had to finalize their 53-man rosters by 4 p.m. ET.

With a notable presence in the league, many Wildcats secured roster spots for the 2024 NFL season.

Below is a list of former Kansas State football players who made the 53-man rosters. Read through to the end to find out which former Wildcats did not make the final cut.

Cooper Beebe, Dallas Cowboys
Drafted in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Cooper Beebe not only made the Cowboys’ 53-man roster but has also been named the starting center for the team.

Deuce Vaughn, Dallas Cowboys
Joining Beebe, the agile Deuce Vaughn also made the Cowboys’ 53-man roster. With Ezekiel Elliott considered one of the weaker RB1s, Vaughn might get a chance to play in 2024.

Julius Brents, Indianapolis Colts
Although Julius Brents has been sidelined recently due to injury, he is expected to be ready for the Colts’ Week 1 game against the Texans, where he will likely start at cornerback.

DID NOT MAKE A 53-MAN ROSTER
The following players did not secure a spot on a 53-man roster:

• Long snapper Randen Plattner, who had a stint with the Baltimore Ravens, did not make the cut with the Kansas City Chiefs.
• Phillip Brooks was not included on the Kansas City Chiefs’ roster.
• Ekow Boye-Doe did not make the Kansas City Chiefs’ roster.
• Vikings’ wide receiver Malik Knowles was waived with an injury designation.
• Duke Shelley’s contract with the Vikings was terminated.
• Timmy Horne’s Achilles injury ended his time with the Giants.
• With the Jets choosing Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor as quarterbacks, Adrian Martinez was waived.
• Kiondre Thomas was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
• Khalid Duke did not make the Titans’ roster.
• Ty Zentner did not make the Titans’ roster.
