Things took an exciting turn following Arizona State football’s 27-19 upset victory over No. 17 Utah on Friday night at Mountain American Stadium.

Kenny Dillingham was right at the center of the excitement.

The ASU coach gave an on-field interview to ESPN after the surprising win, and it turned out to be an unforgettable moment.

How unforgettable? One X account referred to it as the “greatest postgame interview of all time.”

The emotion on Dillingham’s face spoke volumes after the game, as did his interactions with fans during the lively scene.

“This team fights, and they fight and they fight,” Dillingham remarked on the field after the match. “That’s who you should be talking to right now! Not me!”

Later, he added: “We fought, man! We competed! That’s what football is about—competing!”

Dillingham is spot on about ASU’s competitive spirit. With this win, the Sun Devils improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12.

They were expected to finish last in the conference this season.

Meanwhile, Utah dropped to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play, despite being favored to win the Big 12 this year.
