Throughout his moves, Russell has steadily built a successful career in college basketball.

This past season (2023-24) marked a breakout year for Russell. He averaged an impressive 14.9 points per game with the UT Arlington Mavericks, who placed third in the WAC conference. His scoring ability extends beyond just points, as he boasts an efficient shooting percentage of 41.3% from the field and a solid 38.0% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he is a skilled playmaker, averaging 4.4 assists per game.
