Class of 2025 three-star safety Bernard Lackey is following in his father’s footsteps and will suit up for the Pirates.
Before his official visit, Bernard Lackey Jr. had been told by his father, Bernard Lackey Sr., about his experiences at East Carolina University during the mid-1990s. His father shared many exciting stories about life as a football player at ECU, both on and off the field.
Despite hearing all this, Lackey Jr. was eager to experience the university firsthand when he planned his official visit there in late June. It quickly became evident to Lackey that East Carolina resonated with him just as it had with his father.
