Brooks, a former commit to Iowa, recently returned to Georgia for his final high school season after spending part of it in Iowa.
Over the summer, he took official visits to all of his finalists, including one to Iowa after previously being committed there. Although he was once committed to the Hawkeyes, they now seem to be out of contention as his decision date approaches.

The 247Sports’ Crystal Ball feature currently gives the edge to the Bulldogs, but there are reports that the Longhorns are making progress in their pursuit of the huge offensive tackle.
Offensive tackle is a priority in this recruitment class, and Brooks aligns with what Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood seeks. Competing against programs like Georgia and USC for offensive linemen indicates Texas is on the right track.
In recent cycles, Texas has faced off against Georgia for top-tier offensive linemen. We’ll find out on August 23rd if they can return the favor to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs after previous cycles.
