BREAKING NEWS: Badgers Lose ‘Major’ Commitment as DB Flips to UCF

In a turn of events, the Badgers have lost a commitment.

The Badgers have experienced a setback in their 2025 recruitment as cornerback Rukeem Stroud has announced that he is flipping his commitment to the UCF Knights.

Stroud recently pledged to the Badgers just a few weeks ago, but he, being originally from Florida, had a change of heart and opted for the nearby UCF Knights. UCF’s late offer seemed too appealing for the defensive back to resist. This decision means that Jahmare Washington is now the only true cornerback in the 2025 class, and the total commitments have decreased to 20.

Despite this setback, the Badgers have had a highly successful offseason, and although losing a commitment is disappointing, the class remains very strong. With an additional spot available, it’s likely that Luke Fickell and his team will intensify their pursuit of other cornerback prospects.
