Brad Kelly Signs New Deal
Rochdale Football Club is thrilled to announce the re-signing of Brad Kelly.
The goalkeeper, who has been part of the club since he was 13, has agreed to a one-year contract extension.
In his statement, he expressed his joy about extending his stay with the club: “Signing a new deal with Rochdale makes me really happy. I’ve been part of this club since I was 13, and it holds a special place in my heart. Making my professional debut last season was a proud moment for me, and I aim to further develop in the upcoming season.”
Despite a significant injury that sidelined him for a large portion of last season, Kelly is eager to regain fitness and get back on the field during pre-season. He expressed gratitude towards the manager, Dicko (Kris Dixon, Goalkeeping Coach), and the staff for their support and belief in him, looking forward to an exciting season ahead.
Kelly progressed through Dale’s Academy, securing a scholarship in 2020 and featuring regularly for the Youth Team over the next two years. He turned professional in the summer of 2021 and made his debut in a FA Trophy match last season.
Unfortunately, a severe knee injury in December forced the 20-year-old to sit out the rest of the season.
