Breaking: Oregon State Gets Its First “SIGNIFICANT” Men’s Basketball Commitment For 2025 Class

Oregon State men’s basketball is enhancing its roster through a strong focus on international recruitment.

The Beavers have secured their first commitment for the 2025 class from 6-foot-10 forward Olavi Suutela, who hails from Finland.

Suutela, who competes for Helsinki Basketball Academy in Finland, participated in the Finnish first division last season, recording an average of 14.8 points and 6.8 rebounds. He also averaged 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds during the FIBA U18 Eurobasket tournament.

The Beavers’ roster for the 2024-25 season features seven international players, six of whom are from Europe.

The early signing period for men’s basketball runs from November 13 to 20.
